As we dive into wedding season and engagement sessions, we're overflowing with inspiration for future blog posts! With all these thrilling ideas, I'm eagerly exploring magazines, blogs, and other platforms for fresh insights.
During my research adventure, I stumbled upon an article outlining 10 key considerations for new brides before choosing a barn wedding. What an incredible find!
As I eagerly read through the list, I couldn't help but think...
"We've got that covered!"
"Our brides can relax about this!"
"Really? Wow, yet another reason why The Barns is absolutely amazing!"
Okay, okay, I might be a tad (just a tad) biased on that last point! But you get the idea of my thought process.
1. Bathrooms - Does The Barns have Bathrooms?
Excited to know if The Barns has bathrooms? Absolutely, it does! There are four in total: one accessible from the Bride's Room, a handicap-friendly one, and two additional restrooms. You're fully covered!
2. What extras would you have to rent when you book The Barns?
Get excited to celebrate in style with our amazing wedding rental package! It includes custom farm tables and gorgeous wooden folding chairs for 10 guests to up to 150 guests. Plus, you'll have everything covered with a buffet table, sweetheart table, cake table, gift table, coffee bar, and DJ table all included! And remember, you might want to rent some linens to perfect the look...
3. Flowers
Our courtyard garden bursts with life all season long! The gardens are truly stunning, but the floral designs are all about the bride's personal taste. You can elevate your special day with DIY floral arrangements using beautiful blooms from Costco or Sam's Club, breathtaking bouquets from a local florist, and stunning greenery from a friend's garden. It's all about creating the perfect atmosphere!
4. Electricity! Does The Barns have electricity?
Electricity is abundant at The Barns! Every room is fully equipped with outlets perfect for preparation, hair and makeup, catering, and so much more. Plus, for DJs, there are high-voltage outlets ready to power up the party!
5. When does the party have to end ? While it differs from town to town and state to state and many farms are restricted with noise ordinance rules.
Fantastic news! Our restriction is set for 10 PM, which is ideal for a reception!
6. Hotels ? We have clients that are married to the idea of the farm wedding, and are willing to travel 2, 3 and sometimes 4 hours away from their home in order to find the “perfect” place.
We absolutely adore it when brides choose our venue, whether they're coming from just around the corner or far away! 7. How many people can comfortably fit into The Barns?
Our venue is designed with your needs in mind, offering a spacious environment that can comfortably host up to 150 guests. This capacity includes not only your friends and family but also all of your vendors, ensuring that everyone has ample room to move around and enjoy the festivities.
8. Rule, restrictions, and other issues. Is The Barns a working farm with animals, hay and yes, with actual workers ?
We are an equ farm, so we request that you arrange a time to tour our facility. On your wedding day, the only "task" we focus on is feeding the horses. Guests really enjoy this, as the horses come to The Barns' gate to greet everyone!
9. Are you excited about the barn concept after seeing all those beautifully decorated barns on Pinterest? You'll be thrilled to know that The Barns brings that vision to life!
Get excited... industrial chandeliers are already dazzling the space! Plus, Edison bulb lights are elegantly draped around the Great Room and between the barns in the courtyard, creating a magical atmosphere. We also have several ceiling fans (26 to be exact) to keep the air circulating throughout the barn, perfectly complemented by flowy white curtains hanging in the doorway behind the sweetheart table! 10. Walking, walking, walking. The idea of a farm is beautiful and you will want to utilize every part that you can. What options are there for those that can’t make the walk?
