Industrial Wedding Theme

Hello There! So this next theme is a personal favorite! Who am I kidding... I love them all, but there is something about mixing metal with rustic wood that makes

my heart smile!

I know, I know... You may be asking yourself "An industrial theme in a barn venue?! How does that work?!" or perhaps you happened upon this post because you love the idea but are unsure how to execute it? Either way, continue on and I will highlight some ideas on how to achieve this look. And if you want to see more... pop on over to our Industrial Wedding Theme Board on Pinterest!

First... secure a Barn venue for your event... The Barns at Maple Valley Farm is always a nice starting point ;-)

Second, chose your metal. Copper? Black? Galvanized? Oil-rubbed Bronze? or a mixture? You can't go wrong! Literally, just look at the photo above, they mixed black metal from the chairs with copper mugs and flat black candle holders in the centerpieces. Or the image below, they mixed copper geometric shapes with a galvanized container as a vase.

Once you have made those decisions,

move on to the flowers. Soften the harshness of the metal with large blooms or stay muted with greenery. Add burlap, fabric or lace for a bit of texture. Then scatter a couple Edison bulbs or patio lights (did I mention The Barns has patio lights pre-hung indoors and out in the courtyard already?) for a bit of warmth. And Voilà!
