Holiday Engagement Ideas

Santa baby, forgot to mention one little thing... a RING...

The lights, the tree, the snow, the warm fuzzy feelings, family coming to town, the carols, the delicious hot cocoa, the cookies... whatever the reason, this season felt like the perfect time to pop the question!

You have the ring and maybe a time frame (Christmas Eve, Christmas Morning, New Years Eve) but you need a little inspiration? Below are some heart melting, adorable, memorable ideas to make your proposal one she will LOVE!

The Christmas Tree Farm:

Whether you are there to choose a tree or have a planned photoshoot, the tree farm is a lovely backdrop for getting down on one knee! I love the decorations in the tree that spell "Marry Me"!

Ice Skating:

For the more adventurous/not completely clumsy couple. If this is your first time on the ice, maybe give her 10 mins or so to get her feet under her so she doesn't take a spill when she realizes what you asked her :-)

Tree Ornament:

Whether she opens the ornament as a present or has to do a little searching on the tree, its a great way to commemorate the date with a keepsake!

Lighted Gazebo:

Some towns/cities in the area have a gazebo that they decorate for the season, so if you are able to locate one and plan a little date night with dinner and a walk through the lights, this will surely surprise her!

Snow:

Whether its the first snow, last snow, snowmageddon, or fake snow; this proposal makes for beautiful images!

The Barns at Maple Valley Farm:

The Barns are decorated for the holidays, so why not plan a special moment at the venue where you are able to return for your wedding? Just a thought ;-)
